# Staying Hidden

Asteroid has several features that keep its presence discreet, so players cannot easily tell you are using it. All of these are optional.

## Disguise the plugin name

Asteroid can rename itself in the `/plugins` list. Both the main plugin and AsteroidLibs can be disguised.

```yaml
spoof:
  plugin:
    main:
      name: "AFKRewards"
    libs:
      name: "AuthenticationLibs"
```

Instead of "Asteroid", the plugin list shows whatever name you pick. Set a `name` to `None` to disable disguising for that plugin.

## The command is hidden

The Asteroid command is registered in a masked way. Only UUIDs on your allowed list can use it or even see it. To everyone else it does not appear in tab-completion and returns nothing, so there is no hint the plugin is installed. You choose the command name itself with `access.main_command`.

## Hide fake names in the player-count hover

```yaml
players:
  showAnonPlayers: false
```

When someone hovers the player count in the server list, it normally shows player names. Set this to `true` and fake players show as "Anonymous Player" instead, so their names are never exposed there.

## Quiet console

```yaml
spoof:
  showFakePlayerOnJoin: true
```

By default a line is printed to console when a fake joins. Set it to `false` so nothing is logged, keeping your console clean.

## Realistic details

Beyond hiding, the whole point of Asteroid is that fakes look real: realistic usernames and skins, believable ping, staggered join and leave times, and "has played before" status. Combined with the settings above, this makes fake players very hard to spot.
